Welcome to the Road to MCC blog and thank you for joining me. My name is Cade Murphy and I am a leadership coach looking to share my thoughts with the coaching community to further my own growth and the growth of other coaches around the world.
I graduated from Royal Roads University (RRU) in November 2016 and started on my road from being a Certified Executive Coach (CEC) with no additional International Coach Federation (ICF) credential to become an ICF Master Certified Coach. A dream and goal that will require no fewer than 2250 paid hours of coaching experience with at least 35 unique clients with some pro-bono work sprinkled in for flavor. This also means that my educational journey is far from over. The CEC program at Royal Roads University provides 125 of the 200 educational hours so further formal training will be required to achieve my goal. By the time MCC is accomplished, I think the practice and routine of continuing my coaching education will be so deeply ingrained that it will never end, I think it already is. More than the additional education that will be required, my skills as a coach and development as a human being will be transformed and tested along the way and this is a platform to share some of that development and have clear snapshots of my coaching beliefs, values, etc., that I can later reflect on and see the transformations unfold. Reflection is a tool that is important for integrating learning and discoveries to get the most and lasting value from them. As coaches I believe we need to always be improving the value we add to clients and developing as human beings as well. The content of reflection is a measure of how well that is happening. In this blog I will share my reflections as a coach, my challenges and thought-processes, and shed light on my experiences to help others navigate their path as well. I find that the more I coach, the more I learn about myself and hone my skill and hope that this platform serves as a platform for reflection for me, and something to think about for you. I hope you will find value here that will help you on your journey to MCC as well. In your greatness, Cade Murphy
